SCHOOL PROGRAMS

EXTENDING THE CLASSROOM TO INCLUDE WILDLIFE AND NATURAL RESOURCE EDUCATION EXPERIENCES

The E.C.O. Center is committed to offering field trips with a purpose. Our programs incorporate intentional instruction and guided interactions in the facility to provide a dynamic approach to ecological education. We serve all grade levels in public, private, and non-traditional school systems. 

GENERAL INFO

  • Offered Monday-Friday, year-round
     

  • Exclusive to the scheduled school/grade
    No other schools/groups will be present during your program

     

  • Cost: $4.00/student
    No charge for teachers, bus drivers, chaperones, etc.

     

  • Start Time: 9:30am
     

  • Duration: 1.5 - 2.0 hours
     

  • Maximum of 125 students per group
    Schools/grades with more than 125 students scheduled for multiple days
     

  • Attached pavilion for lunch + playground in park

General information based on typical school groups. If your group has special requests, the E.C.O. Center will do its best to accommodate a different start time, multiple grades at a time, etc.
Some info could change based on group size.

PROGRAM CONTENT

  • Cover current Georgia Standards of Excellence in life science, earth science, environmental science, biology, and ecology
     

  • Tailored to each group to coincide with classroom topics and content at time of program
     

  • Can be completely customized to include additional natural resource and wildlife topics
     

  • Will work with teachers individually to construct a program that meets academic needs for both students & teachers
